My 1st job training

For the past few weeks since 16 July, i have been at KL for my 1st job training with the position of Product Specialist at Malex Medical Asia. i just came back from KL by flight yesterday.

Everything is great...from the accommodation, office as well as the staffs. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I am working with Vivienne David and she has been a helping hand from the start. I would really want to thank her again for being patient with me during the training.
Thanks Vivienne!

Other than that, Benny(Regional Manager of Asia), Sit Wan, Beatrix, Jass, Chris, Izan, Hazel, Sashi, Anne and my housemate Ryan have been a great team along the way. Thanks everyone for guiding me along the way...

My Company Director are both Australian-Paul and his wife Caroline McLauchlan. So far, i only met Paul because they are residing in Perth, Australia and they take turns to come down once a month as they do also have another company there call Medivenn. Paul has been a great guy and he really loves to joke around which make us the staffs keep laughing non-stop. Australian bosses treat their staffs really really well and i mean WELL. They will make sure their staffs are good, safe and happy all the time...This is from my experiences and my friends who work in Australia also say so..

As for Caroline, I'll be meeting her on 18 of August in Singapore and i can't wait to meet her as they say she's a beautiful lady.

During my training, i stay at Kiara Designer Suites, Mont Kiara. I must say it is a beautiful place and i really enjoy my stay there. This apartment is for the company's staffs who didn't reside in KL. Other than that, i notice that Mont Kiara has a lot of expatriate which explains the place is a higher class place. I got to know that the apartment i stayed cost RM4500 monthly. Woah.. But it is really a nice place to stay and i can say it is better than hotel! :p

15 May 2008 was our Bio group last Final Examination paper in MMU. So, on 17 May, Yen ching, Alex and others have organized a BBQ party at Alex house. To cut everything short, i will just post up some photos taken.

28 January is the day where my new semester starts. I reached malacca on thursday, 24 January as i have things to do on that day. After a busy and tiring day, i managed to snap a few photos of myself...

Although it's my 1st day of new trimester in malacca, there's a lot of things to catch up already...ITP report, presentation, FYP, friends..(Irene, Yoke Mun, Yen Ching..misses you all so much) etc...Hopefully, everything will pave a smooth way for me throughout my final trimester..:)

Last monday,i went to Singapore with desmond and his mum. We went to Orchard Road as desmond wants to shop for his cny clothes. There's a couple of shopping centre there-Takashimaya, Wisma Atria, Shore Centre etc. He bought nothing there as nothing buys his eyes. So, we just did window shopping.

Then we head to Suntec City. There, desmond bought a few clothes and slacks from G2000 and G2blu. There were 50-70% off. Almost all the items are $23 and it's nice! I bought 2 top for myself also.

After all the shopping, we went to Tony Roma's for lunch...My long awaiting lunch...haha...

The bill came out around $110 for 3 people which is around RM250...it's very expensive...but once in a while, it's worth to pamper yourself with good food. :)

Company Annual Dinner at Pulai Springs Resort

Last Friday, 4^th January 2007, my industrial training, Akyweb company (www.akyweb.com) had their annual dinner at Pulai Springs Resort, Johor Bahru-a world-class golf and recreation resort designed as an ancient royal Malay palace. I was also invited to be part of them. Italian buffet for RM43 per head but of course, our boss treated us. The buffet was nice for me but i got full very fast…Maybe that day, I don’t really have appetite..haha…wasted right?? After eating, we had fun around and took some pictures…

Few weeks ago, I went to Sentosa Island, Singapore with desmond and his family. We drive there and it's a one day trip ...Lazy sit cable car.. hehe..

The Underwater World oceanarium on Sentosa is home to more than 2,500 fishes from 250 different species.

First, we start our tour with the Touch Pool for some 'hands on' experience with starfish, stingrays and if you dare, baby sharks.

Who want to eat fresh crabs?? :p

Then we ventured into the ocean depths via a moving travellator that ferries us through an 83-metre-long acrylic tunnel. All around us, sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past – engrossed in their own world.

After the venture at Underwater World, we went to the dolphin lagoon. We get to observe the highly intelligent Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins through a series of interactive, feeding and training sessions specially designed to demonstrate their natural ability of tail-walking synchronization.

After the touching of love...haha..des,me and aaron went to Sentosa Cineblast-The Extreme Log Ride. Here, you can feel the exhilaration of flying to the top of the highest mountain, the stomach-churning thrill of rushing into the deepest valleys and the gripping excitement of being tossed about by whitewater rapids. These Super-Trees that are grown in a 'Super World' will rush down ravines and gush through deep caves, crocodiles and danger awaits you at every turn! But all i can say, it's not as excited as i have imagined...

After that, we went to Fort Siloso - Singapore's only preserved coastal fort stands as an important window to their colonial past and a poignant reminder of the war years. It has the largest collection of World War II memorabilia with life-sized replicas, interactive exhibits and even authentic aromas are lovingly recreated.

We also head out into the sunshine and examined the actual 17th century guns and cannons as well as explored the old tunnels.

After the ventures at the places of interest, we went to Suntec City Shopping Mall to have our dinner at Tony Roma’s(Ribs, Steaks and Seafood Restaurant)!!!! Woah…it’s the first time I eat at Tony Roma’s and it’s delicious…eat till you leak the juicy ribs…haha…Very Very NICE…

We had the Original Baby Back Ribs Basted Set with our choice of sauce- Original, Carolina Honey, Blue Ridge Smokies and Tony Roma’s Red Hots. Desmond also ordered their steak and he claims that the steak is the nicest he ever eat…Nicer than TGI Friday’s…. hehe…The bill came out around $200plus..So,it’s around RM400plus for 4Sets and drinks (We have 5 person though, desmond’s parents shared 1 set as 1 set is very big portion).

All I can say, Tony Roma’s pork ribs are really nice and juicy…Malaysia also have Tony Roma’s but people say it’s not that nice because it’s halal…For non-muslim, if you all want to try.. try the pork ribs…

Yesterday, while driving at the skudai main road, there’s police road block. Slowly, the cars crawling towards the direction and got checked by the fellow police officers. When reached my turn, I thought they will let me pass. Who knows, they ask me to drive aside.

Police Officer : Cik, you tahu you dah langgar had laju yang dibenarkan?? Sini had laju adalah 80km/j dan kita kesan kereta cik yang cik pandu tadi adalah 95km/j. So, saya kena saman cik RM300 dan saya bagi cik tempoh 1 bulan untuk settle k? Ada apa-apa soalan??

Me : Huh?????!!!???? Encik, saya student je le…takde banyak duit untuk bayar le…
Somemore this is mainroad…3 lanes…takan 80 km/j sahaja…tak nampak papan tanda pun..

Police Officer : Yeah..tapi you kena faham faham la…

Me : (thinking myself-.faham-faham????)
Tapi saya betul betul takde banyak duit le…..saya student je…(showing my MMU student card hoping he will not charge me)

Police Officer : Then you nak saya macam mana sekarang?
Tak boleh batal saman, semua orang dah Nampak..

Me : (I took out rm20 and want to pass to him)

Police Officer : Sekejap sekejap, nanti orang nampak… Berapa you bagi?

Me : Tolang la encik…

Me : (I took out another RM 10…)

I quickly put RM30 under his file and drive off…

This month, I’m poorer by RM 30 because of something I should not waste for…sad…The Skudai main road is like highway with 3 lanes and is limited to 80km/h only?? Haiah…

I guess the police officers are looking for duit kopi only.. …New Year coming already ma…

So many crimes in JB, never do anything about it..so free do this kind of thing...

Imagine one day like that, don’t know how much they can earn..people give RM50,RM100, RM30(like me) etc…..hmmm…

Enjoyable and unforgetable experience during Miss Malaysia Pageant staying

21^st April to 1^st May 2007, all the State Finalist needed to be at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa before the Grand Final of Miss Malaysia Pageant on 30 April 2007.

21^st April to 23^rd April 2007

On 21^st April 2007 (Saturday), 10:00 am, all State Representatives will have to report to the Organizer at the hotel. In the morning, from Malacca, Desmond fetched me there. I was the latest to reach there…around 10.20am.

Blame on me, haha… I thought everyone will be late(Malaysian timing), so I leave Malacca at 8.30am.

When I reached there, the chaperon asked me to do my own make up first as we will have our 1^st photoshooting. The first thing that come to my mind….????!!!????.......haha…..The professional make up artist will come later, but we have no time to wait for them. So, when they come, they will just do touch-up for us. Wah….when I see the other contestants, they really know how to do their own make-up compared to me. Haha… But, it’s all right.

So, from day 21^st April to 23^rd April, these 3 days, we spent our time doing photoshooting. We did our own portrait photo, sponsors photoshooting, scenery shooting as well as group photos. In this event, our sponsors are Bata, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Sogo Departmental Store, Airellies Skin Care, United Print Process, Bonita, Adora Rodel, ecoBrown, Thomas&Guys, Mayflower Coach, Nobel Cast Producer, and Kai professional make-up.

At night, we learnt hand language of Michael Jackson, ‘Heal The World Song’ as well as dancing steps to be perform at our sponsor preview show.

It was a tiring schedule as time is very tight for us but it was fun and we turned in early every night at around 11pm.

24^th April 2007

On 24^th April, we went to meet the press with our Batik Wear at the Sunway Resort Swimming Pool. The press from various newspaper such as NST, The Star, Malay Mail, Nanyang Siang Pau, Sin Chew, etc will choose few of us to be interviewed. The questions they will ask are like, “What makes you join this competition?”, “What have you learn so far?”, What do you expect from this competion?” etc…

After the press meeting, we quickly went to toilet, change to a V-neck shirt and black mini-skirt. We headed to a room and meet with the Press again. This time, everyone was needed to introduce themselves and later the Press interviewed the VIPs of this event.

After the press meeting room, we get to meet the Tourism’s VIP outside the room. In the evening, we learnt the sequence of walking as we needed to do our preview show the next day.

25^th April 2007

We did our 1^st preview show at the Bata Outlet of Mid Valley. From this preview show, they will choose the Miss Beautiful Leg Subsidiary Title. We wore a V-neck shirt and a black mini skirt. There are 3 rounds of walking. A lot of people gathered at the Bata Outlet to watch us parading the shoes and handbags.

26^th April 2007

Today, our preview show will be for United Printing Process. The preview show is at a restaurant. Before the show, we had our dinner first at the ground floor.

Later, we went upstairs to do the preview show. The atmosphere was great. It was a dark soothing room and we did the show there. For introduction round, we wore black dress. 2^nd round, we wore evening gown. After that, we had our dinner again!!!! Maybe can consider supper! Haha..

27^th April 2007

Today is our pre-judging day. It was a different experience. As everyone of us are interviewed individually in a room. The room is like a CLC room. (If you are a MMU student, you should know what kind of room I’m describing.) It was a bit scary. As the room is very cold, and the attire we needed to wear is evening wear. Luckily not swimming wear..haha..if not I will turn to ice!!!! So we did our rehearsal few times on which entrance to go in, how are we going to sit, intro etc.

Individually go in the room, the contestant will need to sit on the chair which located on the stage. In front of you will be 11 judges. The pre-judging starts and when reached my turn, I was a bit worried when I reached the stage because my long dress stuck at my heels. Haha…luckily I manage to get rid of it fast. As soon as my butt landed on the chair, I introduce myself and the judges started asking me questions. Luckily, I manage to break the ice and I was satisfied with my performance. This pre-judging consist of 70% of overall event. 50%-beauty from head-to-toe(height,complexion etc) and 20%- communication skills.

Later at night, we went and do another preview show for Lioness Club dinner. For the first show, we did the hand language of ‘Heal The World’ with candles on our hand, 2^nd round- dancing with black dress and heels.

28^th April 2007

Today, we did our talent show rehearsal. At night, we did our talent show in front of the Lioness Club people.

Today, we did our preview show at the KL Sogo Departmental Store. From there, they choose the Miss KL Sogo Subsidiary Title.

Later, we practiced our new dancing steps to be perform on the next day for the Grand Final. That's right...1 day before! That’s why, we need to digest it everything by today…

30^th April 2007

Grand Final of Miss Malaysia Pageant was successfully complete.

Overall, the staying at Sunway Resort was great. We were treated nicely, Great Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Everyone of us stay there becoming fatter and fatter as the food is really nice and we eat our meal on time. Imagine, breakfast at the hotel, we get to eat buffet of porridge, bun, roti canai, mee hoon, nasi lemak, western style and many more. Lunch and dinner(packed food)– Seafood/Chicken/Beef Spaghetti, Lamb chop, Mc-D set, rice and dishes, Fried rice with chicken wing,hotdog and vegetables, Wan tan ho, etc...We also had Japanese buffet and went to few restaurants with great chinese food.

I really enjoyed my staying there, the room was also very nice. But what I want to say, through this competition, I really learn a lot, in terms of communicating and staying with people, learn how to dress ourselves well etc. It’s something you can’t buy and everyone of us, is already winner in the heart...

p/s- Never take much pictures, because I never bring my own camera and we had no time to take our own picture also. Haha..:p. So, hope you all enjoy la…

Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008!

2007 year is going to end soon and we are going to invite the year of 2008-The Year of Mouse. Again, another year has pass, and one important question….Are you satisfy with the results you have achieved throughout the year? If yes, good…If no, you all should think back, why is it like that…Perhaps, you all must make changes in your life? If you all never make any changes, you already can see your next year outcomes…Simple-It will be the same as this year.

As for me, I am not that satisfy with what I have achieved. I know I can be better. I know,
there are a lot of things for me to improve. I want to live my life to the fullest. I want people to remember the good side of me. I am willing to learn. Long time ago, I came across a phrase and I remember it till now, “Learn by mistakes and take it as a lesson”. So, people, if anyone of you all meet failures, don’t think it's the end of world. Learn from there and probably, you’ll climb higher! Nothing is impossible. Climb out from your safe zone..

Before we say goodbye to year 2007, I guess, in everyone’s heart, there’s a wish lists right? For me, I have my own wish lists too.

Healthiness follow by happiness will always surround my Daddy,Mummy,Elder brother-Bernard, 2 younger brothers- Ah Sheng and Ah Yang, My pig tail and all my friends~

Hope that my 2 younger brother-Ah Sheng and Ah Yang will be more ‘kuai’-Study hard and smart. Don’t always go out play and make mummy and daddy worry..

To be able to travel around the world, Australia, France, Paris, Italy etc and wish to go back to Japan..

Miss Malaysia Pageant 2007 Grand Final

This event was held at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel, KL. The beauty queen selected will not only be representing our country in the international finals, but will also serving as Malaysia’s unofficial tourism ambassador at the venues of the world finals.

This being Visit Malaysia Year, the beauty queen will have their work cut out for them at the international finals in promoting to their fellow delegates our country’s lush greenery, rich resources, entrancing attractions and warmth, friendliness and hospitality of Malaysians.

We need to dance with swimwear...cham....This pageant show is not about catwalk only..but it's full of dancing steps...

After the swimwear round, talent show take place. Top 4 will be perform at the grand final..haha..too bad, i never get to perform that day... :p

As for the rest, Vinno from Penang did chinese dance, Collin from Pahang did something like Lion Dance(i don't know what dance is that) and lastly, our talent winner, Caren Goh. She sang a chinese song by Teresa Teng. Her singing vocal is really good.~

Immediately after all the talent performance, TOP 5 finalist are announced. The method of announcing the top 5 is different from the convesional way where we just called the names out.

This way can make people heart attack you know?? Why i say so le??

It's because they will divide 17 of the finalist to 3 groups. 1st group of 6 will go and take a sit on the stage. 2 dancers will come out and dance around with a pair of gold shoes on their hand. They will dance and dance, go around us and fly off and come back again...The motive is to wear the gold shoes for the top 5..Finally...

Luckily my heart never drop out while waiting..hehe..

When reached my turn, I was asked, "In 3 minutes, tell the judges and the audience why i should be Miss Malaysia Tourism 2007?"

I gave an answer...but now i can't really remember what i said...

If i am not wrong..at that time i straight away answer..

"Thank you for the question. Good evening judges and everyone present here...As all of you all realise, this year being The Visit Malaysia Year 2007, is a significant one in our country's history as Malaysia is marking its 50th year of independence. I believe I can live up the name of Malaysia as the ambassador of this country. Besides, I have the courage and confidence to face the world. Lastly, I hope the judges and everyone of you all can keep your faith in me. Thank you."

Dun be mistaken by the title..hehe..it's my pet....sugar gliders.....

Yaya..i know u all will be thinking ......What is sugar glider??????!!!!

Sugar gliders are little marsupials that have been taken as exotic pets in many countries. They origin from Indonesia, New Guinea, New Zealand and Australia.

These creatures are different from normal pet rodents like hamsters, mice and rats.

They have character, mood swings, emotional bonds and the sweetest nature for a pet that comes in such a small package.

Commonly mistaken as flying squirrels, sugar gliders can be both easy and hard to take care.

Their general care is much more complicated than pet rodents and they require a lot of affection and attention from its owners.

Look at it this way, gliders are like 3 year old kids.... they act cute and can annoy us sometimes while at the same time needs our total attention and bond.

We must play n spend time with them.. if not, they will die of loneliness and depression..-_-

Therefore, if wan keep sugar glider as pet, basically, we need at least 2 of them ....
as sugar gliders live in colonies of 6 to 15 animals in tree hollows or other nests made of vegetation..

As for me, i have 2 cutie sugar gliders.....

One is female called Beedees~ n the male called lilo~. Desmond n i owned them..

One sugar glider cost sround rm300 from home breeder....

woah!!!!???!!! i know it's expensive..but if you really like pet..you can consider to own a sugar glider....it's really worth while...

Tell u all, i'm so in love with them... They are the CUTEST creature i've ever met...

Beedees has the 'pom pom' type of body..damn cute!!! She is super clumsy and 'manja' also..U can laugh by looking at her well being....

Lilo has his own style...Sometimes he likes to be alone, sometimes, he will 'jia jia' grab my attention...

Both lilo and beedees have super humongous eyes , a soft pink twitchy nose and bushy long tail...

My Industrial Training

Good news about my industrial training,
1st,im back to jb..Can spend most of my time with my mummy, daddy n elder bro..
2nd,Can eat home cook food n no need to think of what to eat as my mum will take care of it most of d time...yUmMy~(talk bout food..now, im hUngRy d..but still cant eat cus im still in office). :(
3rd, As im in jb, i Can catch up with my sec school good frens........Ooiii..where r u all? (Debbie,Jenny, Cheryl Tan,Cindy,Huei San n many more..)

But when there's good thing in life,there will be bad too...My not so good about my industrial training will be..
1st,Everyday i need to drive so far as my house n work place is located far from each other..4o over km..go n come bek...
2nd,i got a web design n application programming FIRM. As now i'm taking Electronics Engineering course majoring in bio-instrumentation, it's a bit out of field for me to do training there. i dun even noe how to do web design n programming..die..-_-..But what can i do? MMU d chosen me to go that company(Akyweb Solutions Sdn Bhd)..So just bear with it for 3 month la..

Time passes very fast. It's already the 3rd week of my industrial training, Actually, i found out that it's not that bad to do my training here...All my collegues here are nice...n i get to learn how to design a website using adobe photoshop CS(u'll be amazed on how u can turn a ugly girl to beautiful girl using this software..haha...) as well as employ ASP programming in the web. It's fun to design n programme website as u can c ur own master piece at d website..It's a sense of satisfaction for me..haha....:p
